Erik E. Child

Partner & Personal Injury Attorney

Erik E. Child is an experienced trial attorney, having successfully tried numerous cases to verdict since 1999. He loves his clients and the courtroom. He has practiced in California, Utah, Nevada and Washington states (pro hoc vitae), both in State, Federal, and appellate courts. He is graduate of Brigham Young University and achieved his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law in 1998. He is happily married with nine children, and enjoys traveling, scuba diving, music and family.

Bryan Jackson

Partner & Personal Injury Attorney

Bryan Jackson earned a Baccalaureate Degree in English and Political Science from the University of California, Davis. After graduating, Bryan attended Lincoln Law School in Sacramento, while he also worked full-time as a law clerk specializing in personal injury law. Bryan earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2007. Shortly after graduating from law school, Bryan became an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Child & Jackson, and in August 2009 Bryan became a Partner. Bryan is active in his community, has supported organizations aiding orphans in third-world countries and environmentally conscious energy conservation. In his spare time Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife and sons in addition to traveling and reading.

Ong Thao

Paralegal

Ong Thao is an 16 year experienced paralegal at Child & Jackson. Prior to becoming a paralegal, she worked as a case manager at a local Sacramento Personal Injury law firm for 19 years. Ms. Thao studied at CSUS and majored in social work; however, her passion for personal injury took a detour on her career path towards legal studies. Ms. Thao earned her Legal Assisting certificate from American River College, in Sacramento, CA. Ms. Thao works hard to support the firm’s attorneys and clients. When not working, Ong enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 sons, party planning and entertaining friends & family.

Liselda Arreola

Paralegal

Liselda has worked with Child & Jackson for fourteen years, and is the firms Discovery Management Supervisor.  Liselda manages all of the discovery for the firm, from form interrogatories, special interrogatories, document requests, admissions, deposition notices, document production, and all other forms of formal and informal discovery.  Liselda enjoys reading and spending time with her two young children.

Cori Anne Hodapp

Case Manager

Cori Hodapp is a Paralegal and Lead Case Manager at Child and Jackson. She received her paralegal certificate at U.C. Berkeley majoring in Criminal and Tort Law in 2019. She has had an interest in law since she was a child and watching her father in his legal profession. She is passionate about helping her injured clients, and ensures their concerns are heard and their interests are protected.

Wendy Downing

Case Manager

My name is Wendy Downing, and I am a Paralegal and Case Manager at Child and Jackson. I have an ABA Certified Paralegal Certificate from West Valley College in Saratoga, California. I grew up in Cupertino, California and relocated to El Dorado Hills 2 years ago. I really enjoy working at Child and Jackson and I love that we get the opportunity to help people when they need us the most.

Deana Salfen

Receptionist

My name is Deana and I am the receptionist at Child & Jackson. I have in the field of law and I have been a caregiver for the elderly. I enjoy helping people, as it makes me feel happy to be able to be part of the solution.

Jonathan Perdomo

Case Manager

Jonathan has a degree in Criminal Justice that is pursuing a formal legal career as an attorney, and anticipates going to law school in the near future.  Jonathan has worked with Child & Jackson for four years.  Jonathan completes, propounds, responds to, and drafts discovery.  He is a former musician that enjoys working with clients and helping them complete the process to assist them in their legal recovery.

Spencer Devetter

Paralegal Assistant

Spencer has an BS in accounting and worked with a start up before joining Child & Jackson.  He works with the courts to insure that all court case management hearings, conferences, minor's compromises, and other court matters are properly filed and completed.  He enjoys living in San Francisco, as well as sports and other activities. 

Kristen Collins

Case Manager Assistant

Kristen Collins is a legal assistant at Child and Jackson. Kristen grew up in upstate New York and was introduced to the legal system by watching her father practice family law in the Syracuse, NY area. Kristen has worked as a teacher, trombonist, and legal assistant prior to joining the team at Child and Jackson. Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree in music education in New York and her master’s degree in music performance in Louisiana before moving out west, and she enjoys using the skills she’s learned throughout her education and her travels in her work at Child and Jackson. Kristen assists the case managers with all aspects of the case, including ordering medical records, bills, traffic collision reports, wage loss documents, insurance information, and numerous other duties. When Kristen is not working, she enjoys traveling, art, and playing the trombone. 

Brian Miller

Lien and Intake Manager

Bryan Miller is a case manager who has been with Child & Jackson since 2015. Prior to coming to Child & Jackson, Bryan worked in the Medical Billing field for close to 10 years. Bryan loves helping his clients get the best result in their case along with preparing their demands. When Bryan is not working he loves watching and going to Baseball games, Bryan is married and has one son.
